Welcome to Talladay Farms!
The 2008 maze has come to an end. Thank you for a wonderful year. We hope to see you again next year.
This year there are 2 mazes. The theme is "Modes of Transportation". Maze #1 features a semi truck, airplane, and motorcycle. Maze #2 features a school bus, car, and boat. The exit for both mazes features a train. Each maze takes about 45 minutes to complete. For one price, you can tackle both mazes. Maps are in sealed envelopes and cost $1. If you make it through the mazes without opening the map, you get your dollar back.
Our corn maze is a different way for people to come out to the country and enjoy the outdoors.
There is only one way in and one way out of each maze, so it is a challenge. There are checkpoints throughout the maze for those who want the extra challenge of finding each of these points. The checkpoints will also help those who have a map to determine where they are inside the maze.
We designed the maze using Farm Works software. We then used a gps receiver to follow our position in the maze while cutting it out with a mower. The corn maze is cut into twenty-five acres of corn with around 10 miles of total paths inside the maze. This does not mean that you will have to walk that far to get out of the maze. The maze is exciting and challenging while giving you the chance to enjoy the country.
Right next door to the maze is Wasem's Fruit Farm. Here you can pick your own apples and pumpkins and enjoy homemade donuts and apple cider. The maze and orchard make a nice trip together. Concessions are also sold at the maze in case you cannot wait to get to the orchard.
